Do parts to be treated always have to be completely immersed in chemicals?

Do the parts to be treated always have to be completely immersed in chemicals? Isn’t it enough if we only rinse the areas necessary for the treatment with chemicals?

The DECKER team addressed this question and presented a completely new system concept for MAHLE: A fully automatic selective coating system in modular design.

Less media consumption, less waste water and fully automatic plant operation: By building this particularly efficient plant, the only one of its kind in the world to date, we can make an important contribution to our customer’s success! The modular design also allows MAHLE to react flexibly to new throughput requirements or parts geometries. A new development with around 50,000 individual parts, which all have to work together, presented the project team with a very special challenge. After the final test runs, the final acceptance is scheduled for the beginning of June and the system will be handed over to the customer!
