Data protection.

The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers store the IP of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the web pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit as standard. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation. There is no personalized evaluation of this data.

If you send us data via the contact form, this data will be stored on our servers as part of the data backup process. Your data will only be used by us to process your request. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential. It will not be passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. This includes your name, your address and your e‑mail address. You do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address as well as other information in order to be able to offer you the requested service.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your inquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out to you. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for further information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to be able to offer you our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored non-personal data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Page from which the file was requested
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Web browser and operating system used
  • Complete IP address of the requesting computer
  • Amount of data transferred

This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, this data is stored by us for a short time. It is not possible for us to identify individual persons from this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. The data is also processed in anonymized form for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other databases or passed on to third parties, even in excerpts.

Cookies

We would like to inform you that technical cookies are necessary for the operation of the website. We store these cookies for a maximum of 90 days. Cookies are small files that are transferred from a web server to your browser and stored on your hard disk. The legal basis for the use of cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Only the internet protocol address is stored — no other personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, makes it possible to automatically recognize you the next time you visit our website, which makes it easier for you to use it.

Of course, you can also visit our websites without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized on your next visit, you can also reject the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to „Reject cookies“. The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. However, if you reject the use of cookies, this may restrict the use of some areas of our website.

AWStats

We use the AWStats program to statistically evaluate our website. The program is a free web analysis software. It is used to analyze log files that web servers create on the basis of visitor requests. The program does not use cookie files for the analysis. The statistical analysis is carried out via the log files, which also contain IP addresses. As a rule, this data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is deleted after statistical analysis.

In contrast to other statistics programs, AWStats does not transmit any data to a third-party server. The program is installed on a hosting package. This also prevents data being transferred abroad, for example, as our server is localized in Germany.

Google Analytics with anonymization function

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as „Google“. Google Analytics uses „cookies“, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with the addition „_gat._anonymizeIp“ on our website. In this case, your IP address will already be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymized.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Google states that it will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data Google collects about the websites you visit. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the deactivation add-on for browsers from Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services that we may use. For more information on installing the browser add-on, please click on the following link:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you have consented to your web and app browsing history being linked by Google to your Google account and information from your Google account being used to personalize ads, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create target group lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Google Analytics then temporarily links your ID with your Google Analytics data in order to optimize our target groups.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn it off by making the appropriate settings in the „My account“ section of your Google account.

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps to display maps and to create directions.

Google Maps is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. By using Google Maps on this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the data collected automatically and the data you enter by Google, one of its representatives or third-party providers.

The terms of use for Google Maps can be found here.

You can view the Google Maps privacy policy here.

We have taken technical and administrative security precautions to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security precautions are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly being revised. Please ensure that you have the latest version.

Please note that there may be reasons that prevent immediate erasure, e.g. in the case of statutory retention obligations.

Irrespective of the exercise of your right to erasure, we will erase your data immediately and completely, provided that there is no legal or statutory retention obligation to the contrary.
