What is possible for DECKER in four months?
When you read this project duration, it is hard to believe what the DECKER Anlagenbau team has achieved in such a short space of time: It took just four months from the time the customer placed the order to the commissioning of the customized electroplating system. It is fair to say that DECKER planned and manufactured in record time.
From February 2021…
In February 2021, the Fischer Group, a globally operating company in the metal industry from Baden-Württemberg, contacted DECKER. You would need a system for pretreating aluminum parts so that they can be bonded to the body of a car without any problems. The Fischer customer is a highly interesting start-up in the electromobility sector. As each new plant is individually designed and manufactured according to customer requirements, the task is initially clearly feasible for DECKER… until the time frame for the order was addressed. The plant should be producing as early as May. The electric vehicle manufacturer in question wants to produce for the US market and the car is about to be ready for the market to compete with Tesla. In this business, every minute counts.
…until mid-May 2021
Once the order details were clear and the customer couldn’t wait any longer to place the order, we got straight to work. And full steam ahead! Following acceptance in May, the first parts were immediately produced and flown to the customer in California / USA after quality assurance. Thanks to the process quality and speed at DECKER, this project went brilliantly.
Once again we can say: Because efficiency is key.
